Hi,

Mary here at Green Demolitions. Welcome to the Brand New Green Demo Blog. Whether you are a seasoned shopper at Green Demolitions or have just stumbled upon us, I am really glad you are here.  The fact is, I need you! I need you to transform greendemolitions.com into a hub of kitchen and bath renovation dialog.

Steve Feldman, our president at Green Demolitions, suggested that our first Green Demo Blog article be titled "The Best Five Kitchen Blogs".  While browsing the various sites  with Steve, it became apparent that I just never stopped talking about The Kitchen Forum on Garden Web. (http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/kitchbath/nph-ind.cgi?n=30http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/kitchbath/nph-ind.cgi?n=30v. Many of you probably already live there, but if you don't you should! You can post any question about your kitchen renovation there and all these wonderful people will come charging to the rescue with answers. Real answers that they painstakingly aquired through their own kitchen renovation experience.  You can ask about which cabinet line offers inset for no additional cost; whether a full-nose bullnose granite edge REALLY drips spills right onto your new cabinetry, or get practical honest advice on your kitchen layout, countertops, appliances, budget and more. There are also many inspirational photos posted regularly both on the Finished Kitchens Blog and on the Forum itself (thank you boxerpups!)

A big goal of mine is to transform greendemolitions.com from just another pretty billboard into an interactive kitchen forum and renovation resource.  I am dreaming of all the great input I have heard over the years from those who have bought a Green Demolitions kitchen to be shared with all of you who have a million questions.  So, I need you.  I need all of your questions (WHAT IS GREEN DEMOLITIONS?; How do I buy a kitchen from you?) AND  I need YOUR STORIES , your experiences and your answers to those questions. Please post a comment!!

Today my Favorite Kitchen Blog is The Kitchen Forum at Garden Web.  I think Green Demo and The Kitchen Forum should get together, don't you?  So many contributors on The Kitchen Forum are DIY with Christopher Peacock taste.  Green Demolitions actually was featured in a thread of this very title. http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/kitchbath/msg071610318015.html

hesita_flames writes:..."the cabinets could be rearranged to suit... " that this kind of quality at $420 a linear foot is a bargain for those of us who don't have the ready cash for anything near this quality"... "I don't think you could purchase these cabinets for less anywhere"..." They end up being about 3x the cost of Ikea cabinets. And while I like Ikea cabinets, they are not Christopher Peacock craftsmanship..."

So, take a look at The Kitchen Forum on Garden Web and then take another look at greendemolitions.com. Tell me what your thoughts are. Tell me about your kitchen. If you hate your kitchen, that's good! Let's talk about that!!

Mary

It is really not hard to make a "used" kitchen work. A little imagination along with the sense that you"re really saving money, not just on the cabinets, but for the environment, and real cash in your hands when you consider the removal costs, the dumpsters costs and the tax benefit you can get for donating the kitchen or whatever else you might donate to Green Demolitions.

Not only do I work at Green Demolitions, which is a great place to work, I bought a beautiful kitchen. With some imagination and reconfiguring, it really was quite easy to install a pre-owned kitchen. Thanks Green Demolitions!!!!

I have never actually visited a G.D. store as of yet, but now that they are coming to New Jersey, it will be a frequent stop for me, only 15 minutes away!! I have been checking their website almost daily for the past year or so and have seen my "dream kitchen" more than once. The real GEMS are usually gone by the first day of being listed on GDemolitions. Thats why when I tell my friends to check out their site, I tell them to look at the "sold" list of kitchens. That is where you will see everything that has come through Green Demooitions. You will be amazed!!! I have not stopped looking, because when I am ready to do my kitchen over (hopefully soon), I am going to grab one of these before someone else does.
